Soon, we will start publishing “real” works to this site and our YouTube Channel. So far, we have been posting “1 Hour Projects” to our YouTube Channel.

The 1 Hour Projects are just that, they represent audio/visual works that took exactly one hour from thinking about writing a short tune to publishing the completed song/video.. The videos are from pictures or videos I shot on my iPhone. The projects are written and produced in Logic Pro, Nuendo, or MOTU DP10. The final editing, mastering, and video creation is done in Reaper. The output is then uploaded to YouTube. These projects are just for fun, and a personal challenge to see what I can churn out in a very short time.

Transcoding – We are making great steps forward with our transcoding algorithm(s) and are close to a release candidate for our mastering studio.

Web Presence – This week, offline development of this website is continuing, we started setting up our Youtube channel, and also launched an Instagram account. We posted some placeholder content to test workflows for uploading and content management.

Content Media – We have been very busy getting our publishing engine started dealing with the boring but necessary business aspects like: ISRC codes, UPC codes, Copyrights, ASCAP registrations, and so on.. (What a headache).

Personal message to our early subscribers and followers – First off THANK YOU!! The Sympathetic Orchestra has several areas of focus: Immersive audio technology development (hardware and software), General audio content creation, and healing audio content creation. We are very excited about all three tracts. If you have any specific interests, comments or questions please share them with us.

Please visit our brand new Youtube Channel. Everything on this site and on Youtube are still very much a ‘work-in-progress’. None of the currently posted content represents what will soon be posted, all posts to date are for the purpose of testing and debugging.

This music/video is a quick Sunday morning test. It was improvised and recorded in just a few minutes in the living room with no thought or meaning other than goofing around waiting for lunch. The instruments displayed (shown sitting on our kitchen table) in the video are the only sound sources used for this recording.

In addition to Binaural content we are currently authoring unique immersive acoustic experiences optimized for Transaural reproduction. I will post instructions for setup and listening soon.

We are also creating object oriented content for playback on 1st~3rd order Ambisonic systems.

Prepare to be amazed.. This is truly a new beginning. Forget everything you know about listening to and experiencing sound…

To best enjoy the Sympathetic Orchestra please use high quality headphones. If you are serious about experiencing the most realistic audio and spatial imaging possible, please use a corrective Impulse Response (IR) for your specific headphones. There are several free and paid IR Convolution solutions for MacOS and Windows. I will post much more about this subject soon.
